NXP Semiconductors, Business Line Sound Solutions – was officially announced as one of the Finalists of the EFQM Excellence Award 2007.
We are constantly engaged to become a world-class organization in all aspects. A milestone on this path was our participation as Business Line Sound Solutions (both sites, Vienna and Beijing) at the 2007 EFQM Excellence Award. The Award is Europe’s most prestigious award for organizational Excellence. The EFQM Excellence Award recognizes industry leaders with an undisputable track record of progress and results for both financial and non-financial performance. Companies rated as Finalists by EFQM are a representation of Europe’s best performing organizations. We started our Business Excellence journey already mid of the 90-ies. This was the first time, however, that we took part at the EFQM assessment process. Our participation also was a premiere to EFQM. Never before a site outside Europe, our plant at Beijing, China, has been assessed. Being a Finalist already the first time participating is a proof that our initiatives and programs, within our organization and together with our customers and partners as well as society and the NXP group, are correctly positioned. We take this opportunity to thank all those having contributed to this success by means of their work, know how, cooperation and passion during the past years. This outstanding result provides additional momentum to the future development of our organization and processes towards world-class performance.
