NXP’s Business Line Sound Solutions wins national Austrian award for business excellence 2008
NXP’s Business Line Sound Solutions has achieved another top recognition for its quality management: After the success in 2002 the Business Line has been award again with the Austrian Quality Award 2008 in the category of Business Lines and Subsidiary Companies.
This victory confirms once again the first-class quality standards of the global leader in mobile sound solutions said Ernst Müllner, vice president and general manager, sound solutions: „This award is owed to the excellent performance of all of our employees, who are constantly ensuring the efficiency of our organization, the quality of our processes and a company culture of permanent improvement. Our passion at NXP is to strive for top quality in everything we do and to establish so the basis for the sustainable success of our company and as well of our customers and partners.
After achieving the finals of the EFQM (European Foundation for Quality Management) Excellence Awards in 2007, Sound Solutions also convinced the Austrian jury for the quality awards. The reasoning of the jury: „NXP proves as an excellent company with distinctive leadership in a strong, persistent growth phase and shows strong global commitment. NXP makes systematically use of different tools in order to develop and improve continuously. The management is actively pushing the central themes „Passion for Quality“ and „Obsession for Improvement“, which are clearly visible and perceptible throughout the whole organization.
The continuous improvement of all business processes will help Sound Solutions further on to achieve its ambitious quality and business targets: The successful participation at the EFQM Excellence Awards in 2009, the implementation of the planned strategic growth and the sales of one billion acoustic components in 2010.
